Watch "Swim Strong", a short film about the work of Swim Strong Foundation

April 2024 - Last April 21 in Far Rockaway, NY, PCMF USA's board member Susan Kelly von Medicus represented the Foundation at a screening of "Swim Strong", a compelling short film by Paul Frangipane and Liliana Bernal about the work of Swim Strong Foundation. There were many fellow supporters and families at this event, notably two representatives of Myrtha Pools who are building the temporary structures for the US Olympic trials and the Paris ’24 Olympics.

Swim Strong has taught more than 10,000 people young, not as young, and special needs, mostly from underserved communities to swim, stroke clinics and lifeguard training.  During the pandemic period when in person lessons were not possible, Swim Strong put its efforts into developing a dry land water safety curriculum to take into schools and organizations to educate the population on how to be safe around water in homes, pools and our rivers, ponds and seas.  This program continues and so far has served 38,000 people.  Princess Charlene Foundation USA has supported with grants this foundation and we have witnessed their good use of this support in the water and out.

We hope you will watch the short film and enjoy seeing the efforts we are supporting.
