Two American Athletes to Compete in the 2018 Riviera Water Bike Challenge on June 17, 2018, in Monaco

Surfer Nic Lamb and bodybuilder Ulisses Jr. will join 40+ athletes from around the world at the 2nd edition of the competition to be held on June 17 in Monaco.
All proceeds will benefit the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.


Monaco, May 17, 2018 - The Monaco Yacht Club hosted the draw for the 2nd edition of the Riviera Water Bike Challenge in which 22 teams and 44 athletes will compete on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Monaco - including American surfer Nic Lamb and bodybuilder Ulisses Jr.

Several personalities attended the draw, including marathom world record holder Paula Radcliffe, Formula 1 world champion Mika Hakkinen and rugby player Rudi Keil.

Teams made of professional athletes and amateurs will compete on Schiller S1-C water bikes in a relay race covering 30 laps for a total distance of 20 km (12.4 mi) on Monaco harbor's sea wall.
Merging modern design, technology and engineering, these bikes are quiet, sustainable and 100% human-powered.

The public is invited to watch and cheer for the participants from the Sun Terrace in Monaco. Free admission.
