World Conference on Drowning Prevention

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation is pleased to announce their collaboration with Life Saving Society – Malaysia and Royal Life Saving Society Australia.

The overall goal of this combined project is to offer scholarships to professionals from organisations and institutions in low and middle income nations by supporting their attendance to the World Conference on Drowning Prevention (WCDP) taking place in Penang, Malaysia from 4-6 November 2015.

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation was supporting the opportunity for increasing technical knowledge for effective drowning prevention, giving them the opportunity to expand their networks and identifying opportunities for scaling up action for drowning prevention in low and middle income countries.

The Foundation’s support provided 10 scholars the means to attend the 2015 WCDP representing 9 nations (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Thailand and Vietnam).
