The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation is proud to announce the success of the « Cap ô pas Cap » expedition.
Stephanie Geyer Barneix, Alexandra Lux and Itziar Abascal achieved the unprecedented in crossing, on a paddleboard and with the sheer force of their arms, the legendary Cape Horn.
The start occurred at the foot of the Picos Azules glacier in the heart of Tierra del Fuego. 550 kms later, and after having crossed the finish line in Puerto Torro, the southernmost city in the world, the rowers were welcomed by the President of Chile, Ms Michelle Bachelet.
This sport and scientific challenge was specifically designed for children in order to raise awareness about the dangers of water and to teach them preventative measures in order to help save lives.
