Water Safety

Serbia - Zlatibor - "Friendship Games" - 22-27.09.2015

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation is assisting the Novak Djokovic Foundation in organising the “Drugarijada”, which means “Friendship Games” in Serbian.  The camp took place in Zlatibor, Serbia, from 22nd to 27th September 2015.

Novak Djokovic, Ambassador to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, accompanied by his wife, went to this camp to welcome 85 children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds coming from various Serbian cities.

These games highlighted the importance of team spirit and protecting the environment by giving them the opportunity to make new friends and discover Mother Nature.

The children participated in different workshops; fair play, water safety awareness, environmental conservation and how to better understand different cultures.

These shared exchanges were centred on hope, respect and friendship.

Both Foundations combined their efforts in order to offer these disadvantaged children a serene and joyful environment by participating in numerous sporting and cultural activities.
