Weekly swim lessons were offered to 9 foster children, ages 3–14. Each participant was introduced to essential swimming skills and water safety in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Progress varied based on age, comfort level, and individual ability. Lessons were held once per week and continued until each child demonstrates basic swimming proficiency.
Skills taught include breath control, safe pool entry and exit, submersion, unassisted swimming, jump entries, back floating, and rolling over. All skills are tailored to the child’s age and confidence in the water. Individual progress is carefully tracked for every student.
Water safety is emphasized at every lesson and is an integral part of the Florida Swim School curriculum.
We are committed to helping each child build confidence, develop life-saving skills, and feel safe in and around the water.
